Strap It Motorcycle- or ATV-specific... Strap It Motorcycle- or ATV-specific tiedowns typically have a loop at the buckle to secure the strap's hook. Don't overlook this small feature when tying down your machine; it will keep the metal hooks from damaging your frame during transport. Recycle, Recycle, Recycle... Recycle, Recycle, Recycle Properly disposing of your used motor oil is simple, convenient and, best of all, free. Today, most automotive parts centers operate a recycling program that makes dropping off the used oil easier than purchasing new. I like to keep an old fuel can around the shop to store my waste oil, which reduces trips to the parts center. Color-Coordinated If you... Color-Coordinated If you do any wrenching at all on ATVs, you know that most of your time is spent wielding an 8, 10, 12 and sometimes a 14mm wrench. ATV Rider Reader's Remedy of the Month Sticky Solution A piece of duct tape can come in handy for a quick fix or temporary patch when you're out on the trail. The problem with this is that there's rarely a roll of tape available when you need it. Wrap a two-foot strip of tape around a protected section of frame for safekeeping. When a situation presents itself, you can simply unwrap what you need and leave the remaining piece for future use.
