Snowshoe, WV - FRE/KTM ATV GNCC rider Adam McGill showed up at the Snowshoe event to claim the title and the $10,000 purse just as he had done the previous year. Unfortunately, luck would not fall his way and a broken foot peg kept him from capturing the win.

(June 27, 2009)-In an unprecedented surprise, privateer Brian Wolf on a Yamaha took home the overall win at the MotorcycleUSA.com Snowshoe GNCC, round 9 of the 2009 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series, making him the first XC2 Pro-Am ATV rider ever to take a GNCC overall win.

Blountville, TN (June 23, 2009) - Monster Energy Kawasaki's Chad Wienen not only took the win at Unadilla, but also the points lead of the 2009 AMA Pro ATV Motocross Series. Wienen, new to the Kawasaki squad this year, suffered through mechanical troubles in three of the first four motos of the season, and found himself over 50 points behind the series leader after round two. But he's been on the podium ever since, logging three seconds and two victories while early-season leaders Joe Byrd and Dustin Wimmer have struggled. Now in the lead, Wienen travels to Blountville, TN, to take on the pack at round eight of the the ITP/AMA ATV Motocross Championship presented by Parts Unlimited, the Muddy Creek National on June 27-28th. The race also marks ATVA Amateur Racing Round seven.

June 16, 2009 - The California Legislature is threatening OHV recreation by planning to use the OHV Trust Fund to finance projects in state parks that don't allow OHV use. OHV enthusiasts can't afford to allow Trust Fund money to be taken from funding OHV projects as the California Legislature has already taken $90 million earlier this year. The OHV program in California is exclusively funded by OHV gasoline taxes and other fees associated with OHV use. OHV projects require no money from California's General Fund unlike the California State Parks. We urge you to have your voices heard to protect one of the few well-operating, self-funded programs in California. The OHV Trust Fund should be used as a model for other programs in California rather than a bank to be used for other projects that don't benefit OHV users.

The 2009 SCORE Baja 500 was a breakthrough event for both DragonFire Racing and the new ITP BajaCross tire. A DragonFire-backed and -built Factory Team Green Kawasaki Teryx was driven by Reid Nordin and Hans Waage to a decisive win in the Sportsman UTV class. It was a flawless day by Baja 500 standards, with only one mechanical repair required: a broken rear upright cost the team about three hours of down time. But the speed of the DragonFire Teryx - and the performance and reliability of its ITP BajaCross tires (mounted on ITP T-7 Beadlock wheels) - enabled the team to put a big enough lead on the field to make up the lost ground and still win by an hour. They completed the course in a time of just under 11 hours, at an average speed of 39.62 mph.
