One area of the engine in any quad that's always under constant abuse is the clutch system. Whether it's a rider who is considered a "clutch clown" or you've just built the engine so it's putting out an extra 30 hp, the clutch system needs to be able to transfer the power to the ground. This is where Hinson Racing and its line of high-performance clutch components come into play.
Hinson's complete clutch kit includes a clutch basket, pressure plate, inner hub, fiber and steel clutch plates and, completing the kit, one of its anodized clutch covers.
The basket inner hub and pressure plate are made from billet aluminum and have been akadized to make a part that can last five times longer than a stock unit when maintained properly. These parts improve heat dissipation by spinning more true when the clutch is disengaged as well as eliminate clutch chatter. The clutch fibers, steels and springs are made to the same high production tolerances as the basket, inner hub and pressure plate to enhance the life of those parts as well as handle the demands of stock to aggressively modified engines. The kits are available for most performance sport quads and are a definite upgrade to your engine.
