The generous cut of the $109.99 Pursuit fits well over knee braces, and the zip-offs were in a great spot to still provide some knee protection. The zippers and belt loops are high quality, but some of the stitching has come loose. The black color loses its original shine after a few runs through the wash. The pant also comes in camo, sand or steel blue. The big pockets on the front are nice, and the ankle pocket is cool. Sizes run 28-44.-Chris Denison

AXO Hot Pursuit (women's)
The $89.99 Hot Pursuit comes in sizes 3-14. It offers a really good cut that's not too exaggerated, snug where it needed to be while maintaining a flattering look. The pant is thin and lightweight and offers decent protection, though it is a little light for off-road bushwhacking. There's just one color choice: blue. The printing on the thigh got eaten up in the wash and faded after several washes. Styling is good and otherfemale riders complimented them. Elektra Camo (women's)
The $110 Camo is cut like women's designer jeans with a low-rise waist, snug through the hips and thighs with a flare leg (in odd-numbered sizes 3-11). This makes them comfortable to walk around in, but when it comes to riding, the trendy style gets in the way of function. The waistband doesn't want to move with you, the slim leg doesn't leave much room for knee pads and ventilation is not excellent. The Camo is fully lined with inner-leg protection. Double-stitching makes the pant durable, and it held up great in the wash. It is a cute pair of pants-in gray with sublimated pink camo side panels-that you can also ride in.-Jean Turner
