Thor Static With sizes of 28-44, the fit of the $79.95 Static is true and just roomy enough to make it a ride pant, not a race pant. It is not loose or sloppy in the butt, and it vents well for warmer days. The materials are thick and tough, with protection panels in the right places. The zip-off legs are nice, and as a pair of shorts the Static is long enough to cover your knee while riding. The pocket on the front of the leg is in a funny position but is nice to have. Army/black, blue/navy, black/red, Dragon ($89.95) or khaki/white can do you.-Jimmy Lewis | GEAR | 90 | | Style | 20/20 | | Comfort | 8/10 | | Function | 44/50 | | Wash/care | 9/10 | | Price | 9/10 | www.thormx.com; 619/448-8467 | | Troy Lee Designs Rev The $125 Rev pant is comfortable, versatile and very functional. It is reinforced in all of the areas that get the most beating, yet it still allowed for ample movement. Hook-and-loop adjustments in the waist allowed for better fit for differing bodies, keeping the pants where they are supposed to be. The storm camo styling-in tones of black or green, or you can go plain black-is different enough to stand out yet is not over the top, and the zip-off legs allowed for a cooler ride in the heat. Sizes range from 30-44.-Abe Crockett | GEAR | 82 | | Style | 18/20 | | Comfort | 8/10 | | Function | 41/50 | | Wash/care | 8/10 | | Price | 7/10 | www.troyleedesigns.com; 951/371-5219 | | Troy Lee DesignsExplorer The $150 Explorer pant, made with comfortable material and adjustments to keep the waist snug, offered an excellent fit. The cut in the legs is roomy without any excessive material flapping around in the wind. It has a heavy-duty construction, with leather in the inner knee and Kevlar in high-wear areas for durability and to provide a good gripping surface on the quad. The robust construction made the pant feel as if it could easily hold up for an entire year of hard riding. Sizes run 30-40 in black storm or green storm; 30-44 in black.-Bryan Nylander | GEAR | 91 | | Style | 16/20 | | Comfort | 9/10 | | Function | 48/50 | | Wash/care | 10/10 | | Price | 8/10 | www.troyleedesigns.com; 951/371-5219
Troy Lee DesignsGirl's Moto As comfortable as an old pair of sweats and a welcome treat on cooler days. A lack of ventilation made the pant a little too warm on hot days. But girls are always cold anyway, right? The $125 Girl's Moto is very durable, and after a lot of off-road abuse and repeated washings, it's hard to tell it from a brand-new pair. The elastic and adjustable straps on the waist are forgiving, and the pockets are roomy and convenient for keys, cash and more. Choose yours in black/pink or red/red wine in sizes 3-12. -Jean Turner | GEAR | 90 | | Style | 18/20 | | Comfort | 10/10 | | Function | 45/50 | | Wash/care | 10/10 | | Price | 7/10 | www.troyleedesigns.com; 951/371-5219
