With sizes of 28-44, the fit of the $79.95 Static is true and just roomy enough to make it a ride pant, not a race pant. It is not loose or sloppy in the butt, and it vents well for warmer days. The materials are thick and tough, with protection panels in the right places. The zip-off legs are nice, and as a pair of shorts the Static is long enough to cover your knee while riding. The pocket on the front of the leg is in a funny position but is nice to have. The cut in the legs is roomy without any excessive material flapping around in the wind. It has a heavy-duty construction, with leather in the inner knee and Kevlar in high-wear areas for durability and to provide a good gripping surface on the quad. The robust construction made the pant feel as if it could easily hold up for an entire year of hard riding.
