True sizing (you can get them in sizes 28-48) with a hook-and-loop strap for a snug waist fit. Generously cut legs that fit just right over the boots (tight but not impossible to get over the top). Zip-off legs reveal a shorter-than-normal pair of shorts for warm-weather riding and have good pockets with convenient placement.
