ASV C/5 Front Brake And Pro Clutch Levers
There are two reasons a rider might replace a front brake or clutch lever: the stock levers may be worn out or broken, and the rider may want a stronger and more comfortable lever. ASV offers a phenomenal C/5 CNC-machined breakaway lever for $100. The company also offers the C/5 CNC-machined Pro Clutch Lever which nicely complements the front brake lever and runs from $135-$155. These levers carry a five-year guarantee from breakage. Both levers use what ASV calls a "folding pivot design," where the levers fold backward, preventing the lever from breaking in the case of a crash. These levers are also fully adjustable to accommodate all size hands and fingers.
I was certainly excited about mounting up my new levers, as the ones on my Yamaha YFZ450 were worn and bent out of shape after years of abuse. The levers were easy to install needing only about 15 minutes to bolt on. You'll immediately notice how trick they look, as they're anodized and very well manufactured with detail and precision. When out riding, I realized just how comfortable these ASV levers actually were as they fit the shape of my hands perfectly. One of its most remarkable functions is how easy it is to adjust them. Rotating the adjustment roller forward and/or backward is as simple as it gets, and the lever can be dialed in within seconds. As for durability, it's as strong as it gets. The only downside for us was the somewhat steep price tag. -Thad Josey

Precision Racing Products ATV Stabilizer
I've always felt that the first upgrade a rider should make to his quad is a good steering stabilizer, regardless of whether you ride sport or utility ATVs. If you've ever had the handlebar ripped from your hands, you understand what I'm saying. Precision's stabilizer reduces the impact transferred into the bar when your tire hits rocks, roots, stumps or even another rider. What's interesting about this stabilizer is that it's extremely adjustable so that it can be precisely dialed in to your needs and riding style. Both sides of the steering spectrum and center have its own individual adjustments, which allows you to adjust each range of steering to your liking.
For $485, we were more than impressed with the results. Actually, we were quite shocked. First off, it was easily bolted on within minutes. This stabilizer performed better than we could've ever imagined as we pounded off of rocks, ruts and huge tree roots without nasty feedback into our hands. To be honest, we're very familiar with the way a stock quad handles without the stabilizer, and after installation, we felt 100 percent safer and confident at any speed without the worry of sketchy steering and frightening bump-steer. We think every ATV rider should have one of these stabilizers. The only thing to keep in mind is that it will require a little of your time to test and dial in to fit your needs. -Thad Josey
