New OHV trails are opening. More are being planned, designed and advocated for by hard-working program managers and OHV club members across the country.
Who are the people working tirelessly on behalf of your OHV community?
Here is a way to thank them -- nominate them to receive an award during the Saturday night awards banquet at this fall’s NOHVCC/INOHVAA Conference. The awards recognize significant contributions and achievements to the OHV community. This is the first year that INOHVAA (International Off-Highway Vehicle Administrators Association) will be giving out awards.
All you have to do is submit information about the people you know who would make great recipients of the following awards:
INOHVAA Special Recognition Award:
Reason: To recognize significant achievement in contributing to and furthering the sport of OHV.
Eligible Individuals: Any State, Provincial, or Federal Program administrator or any leader of a nonprofit club is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Eligible Nominators: Any active INOHVAA member or affiliate member; or government administrator may submit nominations for this award.
Award Nomination Procedure: Nominations should describe the individual’s accomplishments and contributions, including dates or time periods. Include:
-Reason for recognition.
-Specific action taken.
-Why does this nominee’s action stand out from others?
-List organizations involved or affected by nominees action.
-How did his or her involvement assist or improve an OHV program?
INOHVAA Hall of Fame Award:
Reason: To recognize significant administrative and professional achievement “over and above” in contributing to and furthering the sport of OHV.
Eligible Individuals: Any State, Provincial, or Federal Program administrator or non-profit club is eligible to be nominated for this award.
Eligible Nominators: Any active INOHVAA member or affiliate member may submit nominations for this award.
Award Nomination Procedure: Nominations should describe the individual’s accomplishments and contributions, including dates or time periods. The following should be addressed in the nomination:
-Reason for recognition.
-Specific actions.
-Why does this nominee’s action stand out from others?
-How did his or her involvement assist or improve an OHV Program?
Now, on to the NOHVCC awards:
NOHVCC Partner of the Year: A NOHVCC State Partner or Associate State Partner who has achieved a success or who has spent another year working towards a success (they take time).
Program Manager of the Year: A member of a government agency who has helped the riders achieve a goal or who has spent another year working towards a success. All levels of government are eligible (local, state, federal).
Club of the Year: A club that has worked on a local or state level to achieve a success.
Association of the Year: A state association that has worked on a local or state level to achieve a success.
Perseverance Award: An OHV enthusiast who has used professional persistence throughout the years to help create a positive future for OHV recreation.
Integrity Award: This is a person who ‘walks the talk’ and who gives OHV recreation a positive image.
Outstanding Volunteer: This is an OHV enthusiast who puts in a lot of volunteer hours for OHV recreation and can always be counted on to lend a hand.
NOHVCC Hall of Fame: These are people who throughout the years have made a positive impact of NOHVCC’s mission and values.
Special Recognition: Any person, club, or organization that has made an impact in the positive future of OHV recreation.
Send your nominations and information regarding the reasons why they should win the award to us at trailhead@nohvcc.org. Don’t be shy – nominate yourself or your organization. We can’t always know what everyone is doing out there so let us know.
All NOHVCC and INOHVAA conference awards nominations are due by July 20th.
