Traditionally, the last organized racing event at Glen Helen Raceway is the Yamaha Quad Six-Hour Endurance Race. This year's event will be run Sunday, December 18th, with the start flag dropping at 9AM and the checkered flag falling at 3PM. This is the ultimate quad race, using much of the Glen Helen Grand Prix course for the challenging 6-hour event. Each team has three riders, and each team is allowed two quads (in case of mechanical breakdowns!). There is also a studly Ironman class, with one rider (who also may have two quads) racing the entire six hours on his/her own!
Gate fees for this event are $10 for adults, and $5 for children. Race entry fees are $90 per team, or $45 for the Ironman class. There are no membership fees for the Yamaha Quad Endurance race, and camping at Glen Helen is free. After the conclusion of the Quad races, Glen Helen will be open for MX practice through December 24th, with gates opening at 8AM and closing at Dusk. On December 24th, the track will be open for practice from 8AM until 2PM. More information will be available online at glenhelen.com.
