HURRICANE MILLS, Tenn. - FRE/KTM ATV GNCC rider Bryan Cook earned 6th overall at the Grand National Cross Country Series finale after a 3-hour battle with Kevin Yoho and Donald Ockerman for the position.
Cook got off to a decent start rounding the first corner inside the top ten. From the opening lap to the ending lap, he remained in close battle with Yoho and Ockerman constantly swapping positions. Cook started at the tail end of the battle and trailed Ockerman until the second lap when he moved into 7th. Two laps later he took full advantage of an open line and made another pass on Yoho to take over 6th place. He went on to claim 6th overall for the day.
His final race result allowed him to earn 7th overall in the overall point standings, one position above his ranking from the previous season.
"We had some ups and downs this season, but most of it was out of our control - just another part of racing. I am happy with my overall result today and my season. I would just like to thank my team for everything they have done to help get me to the races this season," remarked Cook after the event.
