Team Maxxis/MCR’s Beau Baron landed on the podium in second place at Round 6 of the WORCS series, held August 20-21 in Washougal, Washington.
Baron traded the lead with points leader Josh Frederick for much of the race, in what WORCSracing.com called a one and a half hour dogfight. “I started in second and then passed Frederick and gapped out,” said Baron. Only when Baron pitted mid-way through the race were Frederick and Jeremie Warnia able to pass. Baron would eventually pass Warnia for second, but could not catch Frederick for the win.
“The track was really good. It was pretty tacky in most spots on the motocross track, and then on the off-road there were a couple dry slick situations, but mostly, it was soft silt ruts with rocks coming up out of it. The tires worked really well,” he said. Baron, who is third in points for the series, trusted the Razr 2 in front and the Razr rear for Washougal.
Teammate Davi Haagsma also did well at Round 6, taking fifth place. Haagsma is also fifth overall in WORCS points.
Maxxis congratulates Beau Baron and all of the company’s sponsored riders on their fine performances.
