Chris Borich is dominating the early rounds of the GNCC ATV series, with a win last week followed by a victory at the Maxxis General. The second GNCC race of the season was held March 12 in Washington, Georgia.
Borich and a few riders waged a fierce battle throughout the entire race. A pass in the final lap gave Borich the win. "We had a good start," he said. "I missed a line right away, and it put me back pretty far. I think we were back to eighth or tenth at one point, and I just had to put my head down and come through. It was a lot of work, but I caught up to Bithell and Wolf, and they were riding good. The last lap it was just me and Bithell just having an awesome time." With 60 points, defending champ Borich holds a 14-point lead in the series' standings.
Maxxis' sponsored rider Taylor Kiser, currently third in overall points, took fourth place at the Maxxis General. Walker Fowler grabbed another victory in the XC2 Pro Am class, and bumped his first-place points total to 60. Michael Swift overcame mechanical issues to take second place in 4x4 Open, while Clifton Beasley, who finished third overall for in the morning race, won the U2 class. Beasley is now first in points for the class. Daryl Rath took third place in the season's first Open Modified UTV race, and long-time Maxxis rider Traci Cecco finished second in the Women's class.
Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
