Wayne Matlock and Chad Prull...
Wayne Matlock and Chad Prull took a relatively easy win at the very rough San Felipe 250.
Though they drew the fourth starting position, it didn't take too long for Honda's Wayne Matlock and Chad Prull to work their way into the lead of the 20th Annual Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 in Baja California, Mexico. And once there, they stayed in front, winning the first of the three SCORE motorcycle/ATV events in five hours, 25 minutes and 15 seconds for the rough and rocky 240-mile course. But it didn't seem like much work to the winners, with Matlock insisting, "It was a fun race!
"There was a lot of rain. I feel great, and I'm ready to do it again!"
The pair and their Alba Action/Precision Concepts/Honda Pro Oils-backed TRX450R simply clicked off the miles through both rain in the northern half of the course and dust in the southern part. At the finish, they had almost 36 minutes on Class 25 (Open ATV) and overall ATV runners-up Alex Camanini and Felipe Velez who rode a Rancho Racing/Roll Design/Elka YFZ450.
Texans Christian Fernandez and Edwin Lopez took the final spot on the ATV podium, finishing almost seven minutes back of Camanini/Velez on their Torque Motorsports YFZ450.
