This Rhino, owned by Bill Navigato, won the first ever UTV Best in the Desert race last December.
We found out a few off-road companies got together to form a racing series just for UTV's (side-by-sides). Cory Sappington from Desert Toyz ATV, Brian Hart from Black Rhino Performance and Tim Orchard with OMF thought is was time to devote a racing series to these unique vehicles. There will be four events in the Best in the Desert series and another two races in another series that is being discussed as of press time. Mike Lasher is serving as President of the new UTV series, who has been a desert rat for the past 15 years.

The promoters feel UTV's is an inexpensive way to get into desert racing, instead of spending $50,000 or more on a full size vehicle and still alloys for valuable desert racing experience.
