The Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville will be the site of the 2004 ATV-Industry Magazine's ATV Expo and ATV World's Fair Presented by Suzuki, the first-ever combined trade and consumer ATV show, being held October 14-17. According to Rick Campbell, publisher of ATV-Industry magazine, the nation's only trade magazine for ATV enthusiasts and producer of the exposition, "Being in the heart of ATV country at the beginning of hunting season, shortly after all the OEMs have introduced their 2005 models and only 61 days before Christmas, will provide both dealers and end users the opportunity to not only see what's new, but also make and plan purchases, right on the spot." The show is designed to spend two days geared towards trade representatives, and two days for consumers.
The event will include a number of events, the first of which will be the Industry Breakfast meeting held at 8:00 a.m. on the event's first morning, Thursday, October 14. This will be the first gather of the ATV industry as a whole, and the session has an expected audience of approximately 1,800 participants. This opening event will feature two prominent speakers. Dale Bosworth, USDA Forest Chief, will deliver an address, focusing on the importance of federal, public and private partnerships and how planning and working together will provide for future success for continued riding areas. Kathleen Clarke, director of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), is also scheduled to speak. As director of the BLM, Clarke is responsible for the agency's stewardship of 262 million surface areas of BLM-managed public land, more than 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate across the nation and a budget of about $1.8 billion.
Also scheduled to appear is outdoor role model and rock icon Ted Nugent, who has become famous for utilizing his ATV in his renowned bow hunting pursuits. Nugent will be accepting ATV-Industry's First Annual ATV Image Award at a special banquet to be held on Saturday, October 16, the first public day of the Expo, and he will then share anecdotes and experiences he has enjoyed while hunting with his ATV. The banquet is slated to last from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and tickets for the banquet are $45 each.
And there's no harm in bringing your kids, as the Radio Disney eXtreme Team is scheduled to perform on October 16 and 17. This will include performances, interactive games and contests for kids, and they will be hosting the Radio Disney Party Zone on the Expo floor. So you can keep your kids entertained while you use the time to research ATV safety, apparel, after market items, information on new units and the latest technology for ATVs.
All attendees will also receive special discounts and Louisville's brand new Hard Rock Cafe, located just one block from the convention center in the heart of downtown Louisville.
