Valcourt, Quebec, March 23, 2010 - Round Three of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series near Morganton, North Carolina, saw a perfect day of racing as both the morning racers and afternoon racers anticipated a dry, rugged course. Can-Am ATV racers would walk away from the race day with an impressive six class wins, including a sweep of the 4x4 classes.
"It was a solid weekend for our Can-Am ATV racers," says Jimmie O'Dell, Racing Manager for Can-Am ATVs at BRP. "We took some good lessons away from Steele Creek and are looking forward to even better results at Big Buck!"
Team Warnert / Can-Am racer
Bryan Buckhannon showed why he is the racer to beat in the 4x4 Open class as he powered his Can-Am Outlander™ 800R XT EFI ATV to the class win. His teammate,
Lexie Coulter, had a great result on her DS 450™, taking third overall for the morning race and second in the Women's class. Coulter had the lead on the last lap until lapped traffic forced her to second place. Warnert Racing's
Cliff Beasley was also successful taking the U2 class win on his Renegade™ 800R X™ xc by almost five minutes.
In the afternoon, College A (16-21) class racer Jamie Bithell rode his Warnert Racing / Can-Am DS 450 to the class win and finished ahead of almost 200 other racers. Can-Am X-Team racers Scott Kilby and Kevin Tratham took wins in the 4x4 Limited and 4x4 Lites classes respectively. Finally, Can-Am Outlander racer Forrest Whorton took the Utility Sr. (45+) win during the morning race.
