Browning Fork Trail
Riding offered: More than 100 miles of trails, including some of the most remote in the Hatfield-McCoy trail system. 51 percent are considered easy, 31 percent moderate, 11 percent difficult and 7 percent single-track. Gas, food and lodging are all available at the cities of Man and Gilbert; Gilbert is directly accessible by the southern extension of the trail. The Browning Fork area begins 20 minutes south of the U.S. 119 Expressway at Logan.
Buffalo Mountain Trails
Riding offered: 95 miles of trails that are accessible from trailheads in Matewan and Williamson off of U.S. 119 on the Kentucky-West Virginia border. 20 percent of trails are considered easy, 65 percent moderate, 13 percent difficult and 2 percent single-track. Gas, food and lodging are available in Matewan and Williamson.
Dingess-Rum Trails
Riding offered: 105 miles of trails accessible from State Route 17, 20 minutes northwest of Logan. 42 percent of trails are considered easy, 27 percent moderate, 18 percent difficult and 13 percent single-track. Gas, food and lodging are all available near the trail.
Little Coal River Trails
Riding offered: 65 miles of trails in the northernmost part of the Hatfield-McCoy trail system, 20 miles south of I-64 at Charleston and just off the U.S. 119 Expressway. 58 percent of the trails are considered easy, 30 percent moderate, 6 percent are described as difficult and 6 percent single-track. Lodging is available near the trail.
Pinnacle Creek Trails
Riding offered: This trail system includes 105 miles of trails in the southernmost part of the Hatfield-McCoy trail system, located 40 minutes southwest of I-77 at Beckley. 44 percent of the trails are considered easy, 35 percent moderate and 21 percent are labeled difficult. Gas, food and lodging are all available in Pineville at the northwestern extension of the trail.
