High-End Fashion For Off-Road
When people talk of fashion in the world of ATVs or off-road in general, companies like Fox, No Fear, MSR and such are the names that commonly get brought up. Christian Audigier is tapping into the off-road market with his line of Ed Hardy off-road helmets and graphics kits for both ATV and side-by-side machines. The helmets will be distributed through parts giant Tucker Rocky while the graphics kits will be made and sold through AMR Racing (www.amrracing.com).
Audigier, a longtime motorsport enthusiast, has a passion for motorcycles and wanted to extend his line to include them as well. We had a chance to tour the designer's facility and see where the magic happens and were quite impressed. When you think of high-end fashion, you think of movie and music stars parading around in the brand names, not necessarily off-road. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the design team were off-road enthusiast themselves and knew what works and doesn't. While the helmets and graphics kits are the main focus of the company at this time, they are also working on a line of Ed Hardy MX jerseys and will continue the development of full MX gear all the way down to the boots.
The company has also joined forces with longtime ATV builders RIS Designs and has plans to make Ed Hardy-themed show-quality ATVs for the company to display. More information can be found on the website www.edhardymotorsports.com.

Pumped Up
Tips And Tricks On Preventing Arm-Pump
Every issue we've been trying to bring you new tips and ideas on how to overcome the dreaded arm-pump many ATV riders frequently get while riding. This month's tip comes directly from GNCC 4x4 Open class utility racer Scott Kilby.
Remedy: This tip in the prevention of arm-pump can be done anywhere... All you need to do is extend your arms out, almost as if you were holding onto a handlebar. Once you do this start squeezing your hands into a fist like you were gripping onto your grips. You will squeeze and release about every two seconds, which will give your forearms a bit of a workout. Do this for a couple of minutes at a time and then take a rest. Doing this exercise in sets of 10 every day can strengthen your arms and help keep them from pumping up.
