The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council has developed a series of videos and webinars that capture much of the content of our lauded Route Designation and Trail Sustainability workshops. These videos and webinars are designed to help the NOHVCC reach a wider audience of both OHV activists and land managers interested in maintaining responsible OHV access on public lands with the important messages and information within the workshops even while travel budgets are decreasing. Through the OHV Access Initiative, Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A. provides GRANTs to deserving organizations to help further the program's goal of Guaranteeing Responsible Access to our Nations Trails. "NOHVCC's informational assets will now benefit more land use managers seeking to educate themselves on creating responsible and safe opportunities for OHV riding," said Steve Nessl, marketing manager of the ATV and SxS operations for Yamaha Motor Corp, USA. "Providing the funding that makes these webinars and videos accessible online is a foundational element of the Yamaha OHV Access Initiative." Russ Ehnes, Executive Director of NOHVCC, says, "The NOHVCC is very pleased that Yamaha decided our video project was a worthwhile project. During this economic downturn, the ability of government agency personnel, Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts, and the NOHVCC staff to travel has decreased substantially. Providing these videos on-line and as DVDs and conducting interactive webinars, or seminars over the web, will allow us to continue to deliver these important messages. The videos and the webinars are intended to help riders and managers understand how to provide high quality, sustainable trails that are fun and meet rider's needs. There are several sessions that will help riders understand agency processes and how to get involved effectively. They also cover the latest techniques for managing OHV recreation, working with land managers, and much more. Without Yamaha's support, we would not have been able to bring these great tools to the OHV community this year. We really want to thank them for their dedication to responsible OHV recreation."
