WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. (March 6, 2008) - The WPSA today announced the launchof a new interactive website where ATV racers can create their own racing profiles, withphotos, for public viewing. This information will then be uploaded and published in the2008 WPSA TourBook, the official racing program of the 2008 "PowerSports ATV Touron ESPN2."
Part social network and part ATV racer database, the new site is located atwww.atvracers.com. After first creating a username and password, racers are invited toenter information about themselves and their team in over 25 different categories, fromdetailed personal data to complete sponsor information and team photos. Racers can thenchoose which information is for public viewing, the WPSA said, as well as make realtimechanges to their profile. To view the individual profiles, racers can click on the"PowerSports ATV Tour" logo on the bottom of the page.
"We are extremely excited to be able to offer this service to our racers for the 2008season," said PowerSports Entertainment, Inc. Rick Murphy. "The fact that the profileswill form the basis of our editorial content in the WPSA TourBook will allow us topublish the most up-to-date program guide available."
The deadline to be included in the WPSA TourBook is April 14, 2008. Racers areencouraged to enter their information as soon as possible.
