ATV Backflip Variation Landed -
As if doing a backflip on a quad wasn't hard enough, Caleb Moore had to kick it up a notch. "Backflips have been done on quads for the last four years, no tricks or anything, and it's time for that to change," Moore said. Eager to take the sport of freestyle ATV riding to new heights, Moore has been practicing various flip combinations into his foam pit at his home in Texas. On November 28, 2007, Moore flew out to Temecula, California, to officially attempt the new trick. After a few practice variations into a foam pit, Moore moved on to doing backflips to dirt and took everyone in attendance by surprise when one of those backflips turned into a Nacflip with a near perfect landing. Footage of this momentous event can be seen in H-Bomb Films' Huevos 10, which is now on sale. Clips of the film can be seen by logging on to www.hbombfilms.com.
Suzuki QuadRacer R450 Wins FIM Cross-Country World Championship -
There's no doubt the LT-R450 has proven itself as a formidable contender on motocross tracks across the United States, but halfway around the world it has now proven to be a top contender in a desert cross-country series. Suzuki rider Sebestian Hussaini rode a mostly stock LT-R450 in the 17th running of the UAE Desert Challenge which was the last round of FIM Cross-Country World Championship Series. The 2210-kilometer course took more than six days to complete and crossed everything from mountainous rocky terrain to endless sand dunes. With only an oversize fuel tank and saddle tanks, Hussaini has proven that the LT-R450 is a threat to all competitors no matter what the terrain.
