Take Action Today
It's not going to be an easy task, but we all need to band together and fight against those who deem a sport that you and I take seriously as one that's destructive to the environment and not necessary for the average person. First off, take responsibility for your own actions. Don't be one of those goons who ride in a destructive manner and make matters worse for the rest of us. Second, join a great nonpartisan organization that supports and fights against ridiculous legislation such as SEMA, AMA or even the NOHVCC. They'll keep you informed about the issues of our day and can offer important information that could help you make key decisions, such as informing you of your local politicians who support the sport. Create or join a local off-road club and join in on trail maintenance and OHV cleanup days. Lastly and most importantly, vote for politicians who see eye to eye with your beliefs on off-road recreation. Ultimately, they are the ones who will stand up and fight against legislation that will affect what and how we can go about continuing in the sport we love. It's important to caution you on believing all anti-access forces come from one particular political party, though. We as an off-road community cannot afford to further divide ourselves by calling out one particular party or its leaders, they all need to be accountable. Together, our votes can count and make significant changes. Take action now before it's too late.
