The Freestyle finals were a madhouse; the crowded mountainside's energy filled the air as the final four riders fought for the medals. By this time the riders had been sitting in the cold for the better part of five hours and, if not for the crowd's energy, would probably have passed out. The other three riders in the finals were well aware of Caleb's abilities and the pressure was essentially on them. After all, were they really going to let this Texas rookie come into their sport on the biggest stage of the season and take the crown? To their credit, hell no! Justin Hoyer, Joe Parsons and Daniel Bodin fought tooth and nail and admittedly pushed themselves to previously unexplored heights. Caleb's final run was nowhere near as clean as his qualifying run, but it was good enough for the bronze medal and, better, his story resonated with fans, competitors and most importantly TV announcers. The Moore brothers literally stole the TV package as the almost unbelievable tale was told and retold throughout the weekend's TV broadcast.

Size does matter in Texas and the Moore brothers went big. Grandpa Moore waves that Texas flag with pride.
The reason the Moore brothers' story seems to resonate is because of the ingredients. It's absolute fairy-tale fodder, but in this case it's all true and playing out before our eyes. You can't help but wonder if it'll end with a silver lining or even a golden one. But we were blown away and proud of the light these two brothers shed on ATVs-and on the big stage nonetheless!
