5 Quick Tips To Setting Up A Supermoto Quad
Low MX Ride Height
A good supermoto setup is basically a low motocross ATV setup. Depending on the severity of the MX section, you usually don't want to have a full TT or flat track setup.
Slick Tires
There are several tires on the market designed specifically for supermoto racing. They allow the freedom to jump from a light MX track to ripping it up on the tight, twisty asphalt course. Dirt knobbies are usually not going to be the best choice for this type of racing.
Sway Bars
Reduce that unwanted speed-reducing body roll on the grippy asphalt sections of a supermoto track. Sway bars are usually simple to bolt on and allow you better control while competing.
Nerf Bars
Supermoto tracks are often very tight, which leads to bumping and grinding against other competitors. A set of nerf bars can help prevent others' tires from scrubbing against yours and your limbs.
High-Quality Brake Pads
When the speeds get up, you'll need quality brakes to slow you back down. High-temp pads are your best bet for the extra braking demands of supermoto.
