Her friend, out off-roading for the first time ever said, "That was the most fun I've had in my whole life!" Powerful statements showing the fun, excitement and downright power our vehicular addictions have on us. It is the kind of emotion that the pages of ATV Rider needs to convey every month. That is why we got Thad.
He scales in at 170 pounds, which makes him a bit of a lightweight unless you take into consideration his 5-foot 6-inch stature. Representing the East Coast, specifically the ATL, which is slang to make Atlanta, Georgia, seem hip, we decided to leave Thad back there, too, since that will allow him to get to more cross-country and hare scramble races and dodge pines to keep him sharp.
But most of all, Thad is into ATVs 100 percent. Starting with a ATC 90 back in the day (and for those of you who don't know what "back in the day" means, an ATC had three wheels) to his current inability to accurately tell us how many quads he's owned, he's a perfect candidate for the chief position. You'll start seeing his influence on the magazine pretty quickly. With that I'm going back across the hall. Why, I do have the keys to a couple of your rides, and yes, I'll bring them back clean but with worn-out tires, ATV Rider-style. Remember, it's not a job ... -Jimmy Lewis
