Unlike other off-road recreational vehicles, ATVs have a dreadful tendency to seek revenge in a crash by chasing down the pilot and squashing him like a bug. However, there are ways to make a safe bailout in such a situation. While conducting photo ops for us on a recent testing adventure, AMS Tires' Pat McGuire played poster child for the stop, drop and roll maneuver when the Thumper Grizzly executed a perfect barrel roll on top of him when he got a little too close the edge. Those AMS Swamp Fox treads really did provide great traction but a lack of ground and gravity still won.
No riders were injured in the making of this PSA, and the quad was barely scratched.
